Rescheduled from the 7th to avoid conflict with the Spring Meeting. Lynn Cooper will demonstrate how to render wax from your hives, and go over the many bi-products acquired from Beekeeping.
Our goal for the class is to teach you about honey bee biology, their importance to the environment and the food supply, how you can help honey bees and last but not least, how you can start keeping honey bees
We will have a concession stand set up to cook and serve meals along with baked goods donated by our club members.
6:30-9:oopm Guest Speaker, Greg Wolgemuth, will go over Swarming, Splits of Colonies, Supercedures, and Emergency Queen situations.
6:30 pm-8:30 pm
Guest Speaker, Temple Walker, will go over Heat Exhaustion and Anaphylactic Shock.
Guest Speaker, Greg Wolgemuth, will be speaking about Pests and Diseases and what we as Beekeepers can do to minimalize their destruction in our hives.
