Education is the top priority for the club. Our goal is to teach anyone that wants to learn what it takes to become a good beekeeper. We have monthly meetings where we have a presentation on a beekeeping topic. We attend events where we do outreach to the public and we also have a club apiary where members can get hands-on experience. Schools reach out to us when they’re looking for someone to give them a lesson about honeybees. The children love it, and we love to see smiling faces.
Once a year we hold a beekeeping class to teach the basics in a classroom setting and then we take the students to the club apiary to continue the learning process.
